Open-concept kitchen and living room from a full home remodel by Ace Estates

What a Full Home Remodel Can Include

  • Open-concept layouts. Removing or relocating walls, including structural walls with engineered beams.
  • Kitchens and bathrooms. Every kitchen and bathroom in the house, designed as one cohesive look.
  • Systems upgrades. New plumbing, electrical service and panels, and HVAC brought up to current code.
  • Flooring, trim and doors. Consistent finishes throughout the whole home.
  • Basement finishing. Family rooms, guest suites, gyms and bathrooms.
  • Exterior updates. Windows, siding and entryways to match the new interior.
  • Space to grow. Combine your remodel with a home addition for more square footage.

Why One Design-Build Team Matters on a Whole-House Remodel

On a whole-house project, dozens of trades depend on each other. When the designer, contractor and subcontractors are separate companies, small gaps turn into delays and change orders. As a design-build firm, we plan every room, every trade and every material together. Our pre-construction process locks in your design, selections and budget before demolition begins, so the build follows a plan instead of decisions made on the fly.

How Much Does a Full Home Remodel Cost?

Full home remodels are priced per project, based on square footage, the condition of the house, structural and systems work, and your finishes. For reference, our kitchens typically run $30,000 to $160,000 and our bathrooms $15,000 to $40,000, and a whole-house project combines several of these scopes. After our consultation and design phase, you receive fixed pricing in writing before any work starts.

Older Homes Are Our Specialty

Many homes in Westfield, Summit, Cranford and Maplewood are decades old, some close to a century. Opening their walls brings surprises: outdated wiring, undersized framing and old plumbing. We plan for them, explain them clearly when we find them and fix them properly, so your remodeled home is as solid behind the walls as it looks in front of them.

Full Home Remodeling FAQ

Can we live in the house during a full remodel?

It depends on the scope. Some projects can be phased so you stay home; full-gut remodels usually go faster and cleaner if you move out. We will recommend the best approach during pre-construction.

Why is pre-construction so important?

We only take on projects where we can complete a full pre-construction phase. Finalizing the design and every finish before work begins means our trades work from exact details, and you avoid the delays and last-minute changes common on other jobs.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A deposit secures your place on our schedule and covers early costs like materials and permits. Remaining payments follow the milestones in your contract.

Is Ace Estates licensed and insured?

Yes. Ace Estates LLC is a licensed New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor (#13VH09500600), fully insured and bonded since 2016, with a 5.0 rating on Google.
